The Beaches of Normandy

After dreaming about visiting the Beaches of Normandy for many years, I finally had the honor and the privilege to see them in person with my own eyes. The whole experience was every bit as moving as I hoped it would be . . . I've started reading this hefty book . . . it's gonna take me a while, but it will be worth any effort that I put in.  We woke up early on Saturday, June 15th, because we knew we had a big agenda for the day. First on our list: visit Omaha Beach.   It turned out that first thing in the morning was a great time to visit the beach.
