A lot has happened in a short period of time, contrary to how my calendar was originally supposed to play out, ha ha. I love when I see that the upcoming week has little to no items on the calendar, but then somehow the days always manage to fill up anyway!! Recently, the Olympic Torch came through Vicenza and we went downtown to see the cauldron being lit. Several of our friends chose to watch the torchbearers run past the Ederle base, and they had a great unobstructed view as the parade went by. There were lots of military families who chose to watch from this easy-to-get-to location. The entire Piazza was packed full of people - I couldn't believe how many people showed up. It was so electric just to be there . . . definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
